There are two types of companions: pets and droids. While both are designed to do tasks for the player, pets are balanced for early game and droids for late game, Set for accessibility.

Pets[ | ]

Pets can be unlocked via the skill

Pet small Pet

. They cannot be upgraded and players are only granted one pet.

Possible pet variants[ | ]

There are currently five pet variants. When the skill

Pet small Pet

is obtained, one will randomly be granted. The player can swap their pet to a specific pet with the secret setting 'pickAFriend'.

Task[ | ]

When pets are not set to idle, they will collect items from the map. This is the only thing they do.

Idling a Pet[ | ]

If the player doesn't want their pet to collect items for them, they can interact (default key E) with it to set it to idle. While idle, their pet will shrink and stop moving. The player can interact with them while they are in the idle state to set them as active.

Droids[ | ]

Droids can be unlocked via the skill

, and further upgraded with

. There's no current cap on the number of droids one can have at once. But is suggested to keep the amount under 10 to reduce lag.

Production[ | ]

Droids can be crafted at a Factory, for Plastic plastic x2 Fiberglass Fiberglass x2 and Electronics Electronics x2, with the cost increasing for each additional droid. Droids can also be gained from a Dark Shrine sacrificing a health container which can be obtained infinitely by crafting Spirit Orbs, which don't go up in price but are still pretty expensive.

Tasks[ | ]

When following the player, droid perform actions at a rate of about once every 3 seconds or so.

Tasks a droid will perform:[ | ]

  • Attack resources
  • Attack enemies
  • Harvest fishing traps
  • Harvest animals
  • Pick up items

Tasks a droid won't perform:[ | ]

  • Kill animals
  • Dig
  • Harvest fairies
  • Bottle critters
  • Place items and or structures

Boosting Production[ | ]

Right-clicking on a structure will attach the droid to it, boosting production by 50%. If the structure is under the effect of a Power Plant, the droid will also boost its production.

Types of droids[ | ]

There are 100 droids as of 11/21/2023, with 97 droids having their own unique design. You can view them in the Droid Gallery extra in the menu.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Some droids are references to other series, for example, Jago Juice is a reference to disguised GIR from Invader Zim, and Toothful is a reference to Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
